Paper prototyping is a simple way of making your ideas tangible with the sole use of pen and paper.


Paper prototypes are usually a simple and useful method to communicate your idea to your customers and users.Costs and effort are extremely low and, particularly in the early phases of a project, the low fidelity of the prototypes prompts users to feel more comfortable in being critical with the ideas.


  • Moderator or coach is recommended to keep the session efficient

  • No specific team roles necessary. Everybody has the same tasks and responsibilities.


  • Different sized pieces of paper and card

  • Pens

  • Scissors

  • Glue


1. Sketch or Build

Sketch your idea on a piece of paper. Or use scissors and glue to design shapes or rudimentary functions.

2. Test

First of all, present your prototype within the team, then test it externally.
